Hi I’m Kate!

I’m currently a senior at Monarch High School in Louisville, Colorado, and live right outside of Boulder!

My passion is learning about alternative and holistic medicine and how they impact our emotional regulation abilities. I currently have a research paper in the publication process based on a study I conducted that investigates how a guided meditation session impacts scores on an emotional regulation test.

I also am an involved member at a spiritual center in my community - Columbine Unity Spiritual Center, and am elected as the South Central Youth Leader for over 110 churches across states, including Colorado, Texas, Kansas, and Missouri. (SC on map below)

As a Regional Leader, I am in charge of creating a 1-week long spiritual retreat for 50+ participants. My primary responsibilities include developing curriculum on mindfulness practices and delivering a keynote speech during my 2-hour workshop.

The interdisciplinarity of my interests
